Self Guided Brazos River Tours are best to book in advance. Please message or call for reservations with less that 24 hours notice.
This beautiful part of the Brazos River is mellow enough for a beginner to have fun but still interesting enough for experienced kayakers! Paddle/float times are approximate and can change quickly depending on water levels, flow rates, and weather. Feel free to contact us for current estimates. “Sit in” and “on top” kayaks are available. Kayaks are the absolute best vessel for navigating in shallow waters- pay close attention and you can usually find a way to float by in only inches of water! Under drought conditions, you may have to walk a little in shallow spots, but usually just a few feet- if at all.
SHORT TRIP- Starting at $49
About 2+ hours without stops. Launching on the Brazos by Rock Creek (approx. 4 river miles). During tube season we share this part of the river with tubers. Click the photo to book your trip!
LONG TRIP- Starting at $59
About 6-8 hours without stops. Launching on the Brazos by Palo Pinto Creek (approx. 8 river miles). This stretch of the river is secluded and you may only see a handful of other people the whole trip. Click the photo to book this trip.
SHORT OVERNIGHT- Starting at $80
8+hours without stops. Launching on the Brazos by Palo Pinto Creek, paddle until you find a comfy beach to camp on, and pull out the next day by Rock Creek (approx. 8 river miles). This stretch of the river is secluded and you may only see a handful of other people the whole trip- plenty of sandy beaches though. Click the photo to book.
LONG OVERNIGHT- Starting at $100
10-12 hours without stops. Launching by Palo Pinto Creek, paddle until you find a sweet beach to camp on, and pull out the next day by bridge (approx. 13 river miles). This is a secluded stretch of river until the last 3-4 miles. *Primitive beach camp on your own or ask about upgraded camping/glamping options! Click the photo to book this trip.
SHUTTLE ONLY- $25 and up
Bring your own float/vessel and we will shuttle one way- float back to your car. Contact us to book a shuttle- fee depends on kayak/float size.
